Montes Outer Limits Zapallar Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
Montes was established in 1988 by Aurelio Montes, Douglas Murray, Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand, with the aim to produce the best wines in Chile from the best regions.
Grapes for Montes Outer Limits come from a single vineyard in Zapallar located seven kilometres from the coast in Aconcagua. Montes is the first producer to plant vines and make wines here. This wine is truly unique because it is the only expression of Sauvignon Blanc from this vineyard. Due to the cool climate, similar to other cool coastal regions in Chile, the wines have racy acidity, minerality, elegance and distinct aromatics. The grapes were all hand harvested at the end of March, later than other areas, due to the cool climate.
Montes Outer Limits Zapallar Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc has an intense and lively pungent Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of capsicum, lime, grapefruit and hints of asparagus. The palate is wonderfully textured and minerally, with bracing acidity and excellent concentration.
