Fairview Viognier
Dried apricot and peach aromas abound on the nose. A rich, well balanced palate with gentle integrated oak and ripe stone fruit flavours.
Fairview is situated on the lower slopes of Mt. Paarl which is more sheltered from the moderating maritime influence than nearby Stellenbosch, and was planted with vines as early as 1699. The property was bought by the grandfather of current owner Charles Blackin 1937.
Charles Beck never stops forging ahead and has earned fairview a reputation for consistent quality across a range of innovative styles using both classic and innovative varieties. He leads the field in matching varietals to specific sites - a surprisingly recent phenomenon in the country. The Fairview estate now has 585 hectares of vineyard over four appellations Paarl, Stellenbosch, Malmesbury and the Darling Hills
