Coto De Imaz, Gran Reserva, Rioja

Coto De Imaz, Gran Reserva is only made in exceptional years when the grapes reach the maturity that this wine requires. A very long masceration of only the most perfect grapes and frequest pumping of must over grapeskins. Long ageing in american oak. It offers complex aromas of leather, cigar box, cedar and violets. It is soft on the attack but reveals a slightly astringent palate of dried black cherry fruit and balsamic notes. Nice long finish.
